To Build an International New City of New Materials

On Feb 1^st, William Liu, the Secretary General of CIGIU, and Tao Zhenhua, Vice Chairman of CIGIU, were invited to visit Chengdu, and discussed with relevant local authorities on the establishment of an international new material industry city in Chengdu.

Fan Yi, the Vice Mayor of People’s Government of Chengdu City and Secretary of Work Committee of Gaoxin District, Chengdu, said that he hoped to vigorously develop the new material industry represented by graphene to build an international new city of new materials with the help of technical forces and international resources on CIGIU platform.

William Liu, the Secretary General of CIGIU, introduced the experience that how CIGIU helped other parts of the country to build graphene industrial park in 2017. After the meeting, the leaders of CIGIU and Investment Promotion Bureau of Sichuan Province reached a consensus on the holding of “2018 International Summit of New Material Industry Development in Chengdu, China & Sichuan New Material Industry Promotion Conference”.

CIGIU delegation inspected Jintang Huaizhou New City Intellectual Manufacturing Park, Xinjin Tianfu New District Southern Industrial Park, and China Yinlong (Chengdu) New Energy Industrial Park.
