The Graphene Industry Research and Development Planning Review Meeting

On March 22, the Graphene Industry Research and Development Planning Review Meeting of Daqing City was successfully held in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Daqing City, and the main members of the formulation team of Beijing Association for Advanced Carbon Industry Promotion, relevant leaders and heads of relevant functional departments of Economic and Technological Development Zone of Daqing City attended the review meeting.

At the meeting, the panel of experts listened carefully to the report from the formulation team of the Beijing Association for Advanced Carbon Industry Promotion. Based on the development status and trend of the graphene industry at home and abroad, considering Daqing's resources, location advantages and policy orientation, the experts fully discussed the “Plan”. And the experts unanimously agreed that the “Plan” is well-founded, sufficiently documented and complete, and strong scientific and operable, with a clear guiding ideology. The “Plan” has strong guiding significance for the industrial development of Daqing City, not only providing future investment guidance, but also laying the foundation for the follow-up investment of Daqing City, and providing technical and information support.

Government officials said that the “Plan” fully considers the characteristics of Daqing's resources, industries and regions, takes petroleum deep processing and fine chemicals, health industry, green-oriented and clean-oriented new energy, and high-energy-carrying industry as the future industrial development direction of Daqing City, and build a demonstration base for graphene and advanced carbon material industry applications with regional characteristics. The “Plan” has important guiding significance and decision-making value for realizing Longjiang's economic revitalization and transformation and upgrading of Daqing's resources.

After the experts put forward their review opinions, Yuan Guohui, the leader of the expert panel and a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, made a concluding speech, suggesting that the implementation be promoted as soon as possible and seize the opportunity of the new cycle of graphene industrialization. The implementation of the “Plan”, will add new momentum to the economic development of Daqing City, help the regional economy achieve high-quality and leapfrog development, and help Daqing City become an important growth pole for the revitalization of Northeast China in a new round.
