Graphene Industry Strategy Research Group Conducted a Survey in Shandong

From June 30th to July 3rd, led by Liu Zhongfan, Member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice Chairman of Beijing CPPCC, Dean of the Beijing Graphene Institute (BGI) and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Graphene Industry Strategy Research Group conducted a four-day survey in Shandong Province, covering three cities as in Jinan, Qingdao and Jining. This survey, after the previous ones conducted in Beijing, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Fujian, ranked No.5 in the national survey series. The Group visited representative enterprises and industrial parks in Jining, Qingdao, Jinan and other places, and held meetings with local government officials, entrepreneurs and scientific researchers to gain an in-depth understanding of the current status of graphene industry in Shandong Province. Liu Wei, the Secretary General of CIGIU attended the event, with a purpose to reach a consensus on cooperation with all parties and further promote the integration of graphene with local industries.

On June 30th, the Group focused on Jining High-tech Zone and Jinxiang New Material Industrial Park, and visited Ruyi Group, Shandong Lunan Engineering Technology Research Institute, Jining Lite Nanotechnology Co., Ltd., Cathay (Jinxiang) Biomaterial Co., Ltd., Shandong Kingleader Advanced Materials L.L.C. and other units. Shi Guangliang, Mayor and Deputy Secretary of the Jining Municipal Committee, met with the Group.

On July 1st, the Group held a discussion and exchange with leaders of Qingdao High-tech Zone. The leaders of the high-tech zone introduced the local location advantages, industrial base, and graphene industry gathering. The participating companies also reported on the problems encountered in the development of the graphene industry.

On July 2nd, Xue Qingguo, Deputy Mayor and Member of the Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal Committee, met with the Group. Xue Qingguo expressed the hope to strengthen the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in rail transit, smart home, marine equipment manufacturing and advanced new materials.

On July 3rd, the Group and Ji Binchang, Director-General and Party Secretary of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province, conducted a detailed understanding and communication on the development of the graphene industry in Shandong Province.
