CIGIU Assists Graphene Industry Development Strategy Research Group with Survey in Guangdong

 

From April 10th to 11th, academician Liu Zhongfan, member of the Standing Committee of the 13th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference National Committee, vice chairman of the Beijing CPPCC, Dean of Beijing Graphene Institute and senior adviser of CIGIU, led the "graphene industry development strategy research group" to conduct a survey in Shenzhen and Foshan, Guangdong, and go on field trips to key graphene enterprises and industrial service agencies. Ruan Ruxiang, Permanent Vice Chairman, William Liu, the Secretary General of CIGIU,  attended the event to further understand the development status and problems graphene industry is facing in Guangdong, sort out outstanding enterprises and institutions, look for potential partners, and discuss the establisment of a National graphene manufacturering innovation center.

On April 10^th, the research group successively went to  key graphene enterprises and production lines in companies such as Grahope New Materials, Eigen-Equation and Shenrui Graphene. The research group also visited the demonstration base of Shenzhen Graphene Innovation Center and held discussions with representatives from Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and local graphene companies.

Dr. Wang Xudong, director of the graphene technology research center of AECC Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials and dean of Beijing Institute of Graphene Technology, first gave an introduction of Beijing Graphene Industry Innovation Center, and shared his idea of establishing a national graphene manufacturering innovation center by  pooling resources of the whole industry.

On Apr 11^th, the research group visited Guangdong Nuanfeng Electric Heating Co., Ltd. In Foshan. During the visit, the group highly appreciated achievements of the company in graphene electric heating and their spirit of craftmanship.

As founder of the "Company + Union" mode  in the establisment of a national graphene manufacturing innovation center, CIGIU plays a role of bridge connecting technologies and companies in the domestic industry. In the past two years, it conducted surveys around the country, and had extensive exchanges with leading companinese and institutions of the industry to select the potential ones for the establishment of a national graphene manufacturering innovation center . In the future, CIGIU will continue to utilize its advantages to strengthen the Cooperation Platform for a sound development of the graphene industry in China.
