CIGIU Helped People’s Government of Laixi City

On Apr 18^th, in order to further promote the transformation of new and old driving forces of the graphite industry in Laixi City and promote the development of advanced carbon materials industry, 2018 Advanced Carbon Materials Industry Development Summit was successfully held in Huaxi Hotel, Laixi City. It was jointly sponsored by People’s Government of Laixi City and CIGIU.

With the theme of “building an advanced carbon material industry ecosystem and improving regional structural value”, Mr. Dong Zhaoxiang, Administrative Vice Chairman of CIGIU, and Mr. Ruan Ruxiang, Permanent Vice Chairman of CIGIU, attended the forum to provide suggestions for the economic development of Laixi. They also jointly witnessed the new historical chapter of Nanshu Graphite Industry.

Academician Gan Yong, Director of the Expert Advisory Committee of the National Leading Group on New Material Industry Development, sent a written speech to the forum.

William Liu, the Secretary General of CIGIU, introduced the idea of ​​building Laixi Advanced Carbon Materials Industry Featured Town. Laixi advanced carbon materials industry town will finally be built into a diversified innovation center of graphene technology, advanced carbon material testing standard certification center, advanced carbon material trading center in northern China, academic highland of advanced carbon material industrialization, graphene industry system ecological demonstration base, advanced carbon material new industrial supermarket demonstration zone, and international carbon material science and technology exchange and cooperation platform.

At the conference, Dong Zhaoxiang, Administrative Vice Chairman of CIGIU, Ruan Ruxiang, Permanent Vice Chairman of CIGIU, and Wang Mingrong, Vice Chairman of CIGIU, jointly held the unveiling ceremony for Laixi advanced carbon material industry incubator, and Qingdao Advanced Carbon Material Inspection, Testing and Standard Service Center.

This summit is one of the important tasks of CIGIU’s 2018 work plan. The success of the summit once again reflects the guideline of CIGIU: proceeding from China and embracing the world, CIGIU establishes an inclusive platform for international collaboration in graphene industry, science & technology, and finance, setting up a sharing mechanism for resources covering industrial research information and intellectual property. It facilitates industrial application and production technology of graphene so as to promote the development of global graphene industry.
