CIGIU International Graphene Seminar China International Graphene Industry Union Was Founded

Sponsored by China Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology Commercialization (CSPSTC), China High Tech Industry Development Zone Association, China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA) and other organizations, China International Graphene Industry Union (CIGUI) held the international graphene seminar in Beijing on September 18, 2016.

The Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 10^th National People's Congress Gu Xiulian, the former Thailand Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Thailand-China Friendship Association, Mr. Dabbaransi, the former Minister of the Ministry of National Aeronautics and Space Industry Lin Zongtang, the Chairman of China Public Diplomacy Association Li Zhaoxing, the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Proprietor of the Science and Technology Daily Zhang Jing’an, the Nobel Laureate  Professor AndreGaim of the University of Manchester, the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Professor Liu Zhongfan of Peking University, Dr. Yang Zhengyou of Taiwan Technical Service, the Deputy Director of China Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology Wu Xuehui and other guests and representatives from global graphene science and technology application leading enterprises attended the meeting. The participants are more than 200.

In the welcoming speech, the Chairman of China International Graphene Industry Union Zhang Jing’an said, the Union would build an international platform, promote the exchange of scientific and technological achievements and accelerate the industrialization process, focusing on constructing the standard system of the field. It would contribute to the healthy, standardized and orderly development of graphene industry in China and the world.

On the seminar, the Co-Chair of CIGIU, former Thailand Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Thailand-China Friendship Association, Dabbaransi said that the graphene gave us a chance to meet each other and develop together in the future, and hoped that graphene would play a more important role in the new energy and alternative energy field.
